About the ITIL Strategy Course
The ITIL® Strategy (Version 5) module is part of the ITIL Strategic Leader (Version 5) designation. This course is designed for executives and leaders shaping business-driven, value-led product and service strategies. It guides organisations to define direction, priorities and value outcomes, turning intent into action and strategy into sustained value. Covering strategic principles, decision models, governance and value measurement, the module connects vision, strategy and execution to drive measurable business impact.

ITIL Version 5 Qualification Scheme
The ITIL (Version 5) qualification scheme has nine core modules and one extension module. ITIL Foundation is the beginning course, and the certification is a pre-requisite for the eight advanced modules.
There are three learning streams, each leading to a professional designation:
- ITIL Practice Manager (Version 5)
- ITIL Managing Professional (Version 5)
- ITIL Strategic Leader (Version 5)
The ITIL Strategy certification is one of the 3 certifications needed to achieve ITIL Strategic Leader (Version 5). The Strategic Leader stream focuses on the alignment of digital strategy, governance, investment and leadership within the modern enterprise.
To achieve this designation, candidates are required to certify with ITIL Foundation (ITIL 4 or Version 5) and the following modules: ITIL Strategy and ITIL Transformation.
